Now just imagine some of those tweaks being used on the new Civic. I really believe that the next generation of mod style will be a mix of lowering the coupe suvs and placing SUV widebody styling on cars. Pretty much everything will head towards where that ZDX is.

I don't know how I didn't realize it back then but like 2 months ago I was behind a ZDX and thought oh shit Acura did make an X6 competitor. I wonder why they never continued, it seems to be a much more popular category now than when it was introduced.

Sales were abysmal, so they cut it. I’m curious what a new ZDX would look like with the new Acura face.

I mean now with the X4, X6, GLE Coupe it fits right in. When the ZDX first dropped it was too radical.

That is much more Crosstour than the shorter-length ZDX.
And ridiculously, Civic lost the most valuable bits of Crosstour and ZDX, the AWD traction, and the rear hatch. A rear trunk is ridiculous on a fastback, and AWD is a benefit. It was Crosstour’s size that was the problem. Too close to Pilot and bigger than CR-V.
Frankly, if Honda/Acura could build an Integra/RSX lift back coupe body style on a lifted AWD platform like HR-V, with some actual performance along with the modest versatility... it might be interesting.
Or some other company that builds an all-road, versatile AWD sport coupe, that is actually, you know... a coupe. As in two side doors, and a slick roofline, not trying to be a sedan, or not a sedan trying to be a CUV.
A Mustang, or a BRZ/FRS, or a Genesis Coupe, or whatever is fun until you have to get to work through 4-6 inches of snow, or you want to find a place on a less-beaten path.
